4 days, 4 projects, $400

The Home Depot has created four easy projects that can be completed in four days for $400.

Day 1: Refresh your front entrance

One of the easiest ways to improve your homeís curb appeal is with a freshly painted front door. A premium exterior paint can make a door look brand new at a fraction of the cost.

Prep the surface by scraping off old debris, buffing it with a sanding block and wiping with painter rags. Next, assemble your painting tools and apply the paint. Itís that simple. BEHR Premium Plus Ultra is a paint and primer in one, which allows you to skip a step, so thereís no wasting precious weekend time.

If your budget allows, finish the look with new lighting, door hardware, an address plaque, planters and a door mat.

Day 2: Paint a room

While your outdoor project dries, move indoors and paint the room youíve been meaning to get to all winter. It takes less than a day, costs less than $100 and is one of the easiest ways to update your decor.

Start by patching your walls and applying painting tape around doors and ceilings. Next, prime the room. Finally, apply paint in the colour of your choice. Try one of the 280 colours that are part of the new line of Martha Stewart Living paint at The Home Depot.
